About the company:
Masters' Union is an independent education initiative that offers post-graduate programs in technology and business management. The programs are designed to provide students with practical learning experiences by engaging with industry leaders and working on real-world projects.
The problem they had:
Masters' Union needed to increase the number of students completing their admission process and enhance overall awareness about their post-graduate programs in technology and business management. Despite having leads—students who had paid the application fee—they struggled with low engagement rates.
Solution we gave:
We tackled the issue from different angles. We focused on getting to know the varied audience and adjusting how we communicate with them. This involved:
Sending interactive AMP emails to engage active subscribers and warming up less active ones with HTML emails.
Introducing The Multiplexer newsletter to shift focus from generic business knowledge to highlighting students of the Masters’ Union, incorporating quizzes and prizes, and enabling a two-way communication channel through an 'Ask MU' section.
Heavily A/B testing both the content and design of communications to optimize engagement.
Employing a personalized strategy to guide prospects through their application journey, making each step feel closer to their goal with Masters' Union.
Impact it made
Dramatic increase in email open rates, from ~7% to over 47%, demonstrating a successful engagement strategy.
The Multiplexer newsletter gained popularity on social media platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn, increasing the visibility of the Masters’ Union.
Enhanced interaction with potential students through a personalized approach in communications makes the admissions process feel more accessible and less daunting.
Results we got
Achieved a 100% completion rate for the application process among students who showed interest during the campaign. This indicated not only a successful engagement strategy but also a significant increase in student admissions and heightened awareness of Masters' Union's offerings.
